Legitimate exceeded our wildest imagination and became the all time recording breaking dollar bull in Deep Creek history at $105,000.  From the time he hit the ground we knew he had the potential to be great.  Extreme length, depth of flank, extra chest floor and stands on a great foot.  Backed by an unmatched Maternal Driven cow family.  His dam, Deep Creek Rain Lass 013, records a WR of 3@116 and has A.I. bred to the first service 3 out of 4 years, his Pathfinder Granddam records a WR of 10@101 and bred A.I. to the first service 9 out of 10 years and his Pathfinder Great Granddam records a WR of 10@103 and bred A.I. to the first service 9 out of 10 years.  Legitimate had a 205 adj weight of 931# and went on to weigh 1,493# at a year.  He also scanned and recorded a 118 ratio for Ribeye and 116 ratio for IMF.  Today he ranks 22 traits in the top 25% or better in the breed.  He then impressed us with his fertility and collected and froze semen his first jump at Western Sires and went and naturally bred heifers and cows at Moon Creek and Hoover Angus.  Legitimate progeny are long made cattle that are phenotypically very correct made and have excellent performance.  His calves come easy without sacrificing thickness and have extreme vigor.  We look for great things from this young sire!

Square Deal became the second all time dollar bull in Deep Creek history at $50,000.  He is an extremely deep sided bull with extra capacity and carries a big hip all while standing on an excellent set of feet.  He recorded a 902# 205 adj weight and went on to be 1,438# at a year.  He also scanned a 6.37 IMF to ratio 173 while ratioing 107 for Ribeye.  Square Deal comes from the same Maternal Driven cow family as Legitimate with his dam, Deep Creek Step Lass 064, recording a WR of 3@119 and has A.I. bred to her first service 4 out of 4 years, his Pathfinder Granddam records a WR of 10@117 and A.I. bred to her first service 10 out of 10 years and his Pathfinder Great Granddam records a WR of 10@103 and A.I. bred to her first service 9 out of 10 years.  He collected semen right out the gate and went on to naturally breed cows at Bruner Angus.  We A.I. bred heifers to him and had extreme success.  They come small, have amazing vigor and are jet black.  We are excited about the future!
